The Eternal Argument

The Eternal Argument

I don’t often veer into politics with ‘Supernova Lullaby,’ but in light of the past two weeks posts (“Deities of Another Galaxy”), I felt this would be a natural progression. I won’t go into the conflict depicted here in too much detail, but the first ‘Deities’ post will give you some background behind the argument that these two characters in a sense represent.

If anything, I wanted this comic to touch upon a theme that I’ve recently begun thinking about in earnest: that with so many achievements that speak to a global human community (the Moon Landing, the International Space Station, the Internet to name a few), we’re still hung up on old scores and old ways of thinking. These two characters have a whole galaxy to work with, and yet one little planet means so much to them!

Perhaps I’m missing something, but if nothing else, that’s my point of view…

Next week, Froiberg, Oggle, and Hurster return…
